Early Christmas II

Santa came early YET AGAIN for Jane. This time he brought a crib with him. We think she likes it.

Charlie is showing her the ropes (with cake in his hair) of crib life, but doesn't want one himself, THANK GOODNESS!

Nothing New

Nothing new is happening. The replacement fork for our stroller came (YAY!), but we weren't able to try it out till today because of all the rain we've been getting. We stay inside a lot. BUT who can resist checking out our latest CUTE pics??

Is it redundant to say, "Man! That boy is WHITE!"?

War Wounds

Last night I returned from visiting teaching to find the house empty of Bart, kids, and stroller. I went across the street to get the mail and as I was walking back into our house I heard Charlie call, "Mom!" I went and hid behind our car and popped my head up every few seconds so they could see that I was stalking them. Charlie thought that was funny! Then Bart began running behind some other cars to come around and up behind me. As he did, the stroller began shaking (because he was in swivel mode) and he hit a bump. The stroller flipped forward throwing him over it and it landed face down with the kids planted into the cement. Thank goodness they were both strapped in! After weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth, we determined everyone was ok, just banged up. I'm debating whether or not to go to the store today. You don't really think someone would call me in for child abuse, would they? (You need to click on Jane's picture to get the full effect of her wounds.) The stroller, however, was not so lucky. The front fork is so bent that we have to get a new one. Sad...so sad.

Wild Thing

New Stroller

Our new stroller came this week! YAY! It has been fun already. Charlie loves to sit in it and strap himself in. (There's something wrong with that kid. He's the only 2 year old I know who WANTS to be strapped.) We went for a walk and had a really good time. Bart is looking silly because according to him, "I already look bad."

With a Beard as Black as Oreos

We know Grandma and Grandpa Black Bart would be appalled that we started Jane on Oreos. Grandpa because he just can't take the "lard" and Grandma because it's such a mess! But look how much FUN it was!

Mmm. Good thing Mom put this nice white shirt on me!

"Rookie!"

"Thirsty, so thirsty..."
(Yes, there is water in that cup, and yes, she is doing it herself--also very messy)

Like Father Like Son

Bart actually climbed up that red tube slide, quite a feat for someone so big--I've tried it and it's not easy!

The Circle of Life

Apparently Jane missed the part of the Lion King where Mufasa explained the Circle of Life: The grass grows, the antelope eats the grass, we eat the antelope, and then we die replenishing the grass. Or maybe she just thinks the antelope is overrated. Or maybe she understands that we're not lions...
